Lorenzo Granai

Professional Italian Rally co-pilot.
In 2017 European Champion with the BRC team alongside the Champion Giandomenico Basso. In 2016 already Italian Champion with the BRC team. In 2015 he took part in the World Rally Championship (WRC) next to Lorenzo Bertelli, finishing 10th overall in the Mille Laghi and Wales rally. He has a long experience in Motor Sport: he began competing in 1992, winning over the years important titles such as the victory in the British championship in 2002 and many other victories and podiums in the Italian, European and Intercontinental Championship races with the driver Renato Travaglia. He has collaborated with the most important official teams such as Peugeot, Abarth and Ford.
Since 2000 he has been an instructor at the Italian Federal Rally School and for important brands in the automotive world.

2014 – Italian Rally Championship with Giandomenico Basso (Ford Fiesta R5)

2013 – World Rally Championship with Lorenzo Bertelli, 1st overall at the rally Madeira with Giandomenico Basso

2012 – Production World Rally Championship with Lorenzo Bertelli

2011 – European Rally Championship with Renato Travaglia (3 races) and World Rally Championship with Lorenzo Bertelli (3 races)

2010 – Italian Rally Championship with Renato Travaglia; 2nd in Rally Tuscan Rewind (Lancia Delta Martini – driver: Andrea Aghini)

2009 – Renault Clio R3 Trophy; Rally of Moscato (Skoda Fabia S2000 – driver: Max Tonso); 2nd in Rally Legend (Lancia Delta Martini – driver: Andrea Aghini); Italian Rally Championship (driver: Renato Travaglia)

2008 – Italian Rally Championship and Intercontinental Rally Championship with Renato Travaglia as FIAT works driver (Abarth Grande Punto S2000); some races in Suzuki Trophy

2005 – 2006 – 2007 – Rally of Fettunta with the famous jockey Luigi Bruschelli aka Trecciolino abroad Clio RS Gr.N

2007 – Intercontinental and European Rally Championships with Renato Travaglia (Mitsubishi Evo IX – Grande Punto Abarth S2000), 3rd in the european series. Two races as FIAT works driver (Rally of Sanremo and Rally of Como)

2006 – Italian Rally Championship with Renato Travaglia as Mitsubishi works driver, 2 wins

2005 – Five races (three in Italian Rally Championship, one in World Rally Championship and one in France) with Simone Bertolotti on Mitsubishi Evo VII; Italian Rally Trophy with Davide Gatti (Renault Clio S1600), 2nd overall with some wins

2004 – Winner of “Corri con Clio” Trophy (Clio Rs Gr. N – driver: Umberto Consigli); four races as Peugeot works driver with Renato Travaglia (two of Italian Rally Championship, one in European Rally Championship at Madeira, Monza Rally Show with Peugeot 206 WRC finished just behind Valentino Rossi); two races in Italian Rally Championship (Peugeot 306 Maxi – driver: David Oldrati)

2002 – Winner of 2WD Trophy of British Rally Championship (Clio Rs Gr. N – driver: Marco Veroni); Trofeo Terra (driver: Davide Gatti)

2001 – Winner of Rally San Crispino (Mitsubishi Evo VI), good results with Opel Astra OPC Gr.N (driver: Davide Gatti)

1999 – 2000 – 2001 – Peugeot Trophy Champion and Italian 2WD vice-champion Gr. N (Peugeot 306 Rally – driver: Umberto Consigli)
